Some campaigns are meant to be won, some are meant to be lost. This campaign was one that came close but, unfortunately, not close enough. Congrats to all the newly elected officers of the GAGOP.

However, I still feel like I won something more meaningful and tangible than a party position. I got to meet a tremendous number of men and women across this state who had an indelible impact on my life and spirit. That is a blessing that can’t be taken away.

On the positive side, you will have more time with that adorable, precious Blake. That is a gift greater than any outward title. The title of dad is a far higher calling.
